- Contact the Laboratory Manager
- Complete the General Laboratory Safety (Environmental Health and Safety or EH&S) course from the Harvard Training Portal and the yearly refresher, General Laboratory Safety Refresher (EH&S)
- Complete the Fire Extinguishers (EH&S) course from the Harvard Training Portal
- For working in Archaeology Multi-User Lab (AMUL) or Ancient Biomolecules Lab (ABML), complete the Laboratory Biosafety (EH&S) course from the Harvard Training Portal and the yearly refresher, Laboratory Biosafety Refresher (EH&S)
- Complete the Laboratory Safety Orientation Form with the Laboratory Manager
- For using microscopes, saws, hazardous chemicals, or other specific equipment that is labeled, you must provide proof of specific training on the use of that equipment to the Laboratory Manager before use.
