Sneha Yelamanchili
Social Anthropology and Archaeology (Combined Track)
Class of 2026
Hi everyone! My name is Sneha, and I am a junior in Leverett House studying Anthropology (Social Anthropology & Archaeology) and Chemical & Physical Biology. I spent most of my childhood in southwestern Indiana but have lived in several places throughout the midwestern United States (and am very fond of the region). My academic interests include diet, death, the experience of illness, animal-human relationships, and the methods of activism. I love anthropology because it forces us to question our ways of knowing to develop new conceptions of the world and of humankind. When I am not in class, you can find me reading, watching trashy television, and listening to considerably less trashy music. Please feel free to reach out with any questions! I considered a lot of different concentrations (mostly in the natural sciences) before finding a home in this department, and I am more than happy to talk about my experiences and hear about yours.
