 

#  Harvard Anthropology Professor Peter Manuelian Awarded NEH Grant

 The Department of Anthropology at Harvard University is pleased to share that its current Director of Graduate Studies, Professor [Peter Manuelian](/people/peter-der-manuelian), has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Scholarly Editions and Translations grant. Manuelian will be directing a project titled "Ghost Writers of Upper Egypt: A Unique Archive of Arabic Field Diaries in the Archaeological Literature of Egypt and Sudan" which will prepare hand-written diaries of Egyptian foremen who assisted American archaeologists in their excavations from 1913 to 1947 for print publication.
