Gary Urton Awarded the Horowitz Book Prize
Gary Urton was recently awarded the Horowitz Book Prize from the Bard Graduate Center (BGC), NYC for his book Inka History in Knots: Reading Khipus as Primary Sources (Univ. of Texas Press, 2017). The award recognizes the best book of the year on the decorative arts, design history, or material culture of the Americas and includes sponsorship by the BGC of a symposium on the book topic.
