Examining how US underinvestment in medical education exacerbates global inequalities

In a British Medical Journal article co-authored with assistant professor in the history of medicine Eram Alam, departmental doctoral candidate Eric Reinhart argues major new investment is needed in US medical education and infrastructure to adequately care for the US population and to stop the siphoning of much-needed healthcare workers from abroad––a long-standing system that exacerbates global inequalities.
