Congratulations to Gary Urton and the Khipu Database Project for UNESCO Certification

Harvard’s Khipu Database Project has been certified as a world heritage documentary resource by the UNESCO “Memory of the World” program. The database, which Gary Urton has been developing at Harvard over the past 15 years, contains information on the principal records of the Inka Empire as recorded by Inka administrative officials themselves.
