This course provides graduate and advanced undergraduate students an introduction to quantitative methods utilized in archaeological research. Although there will be a lecture component to this class, most of the class will be learning through doing. Students will perform statistical analyses in pairs or small groups while in class and via take-home assignments. We will utilize several statistical programs but the emphasis will be on R. As a final project, students will be asked to analyse and interpret a data set of their choice.
